Parking and Event Center are at the same place.
Parking
Parking at the Event Centre. Please follow the signs and instructions from the parking personnel. Parking is not allowed in the small car parks north and south of the Event Centre along Gillelejevejen. Bus Parking possible with pre-registration to john.sondergard@gmail.com
Distances
Parking to venue area 0-300m.
Bus parking to venue area 600m.
Venue area to Start 1: 1100 m.
Venue area to Start 2: 700 m.
Transport to the starting area
For those HD80 + who have signed up for transport service to the start area, there will be collection at the Event Office. When the start lists are available, the time for collection will be announced in an e-mail to everyone who has signed up for this service.
Bath and dressing
In Frederiksborg Centeret, Milnersvej 39, 3400 Hillerød.
Service
There are toilets in the venue area and at Start 1 and 2
The event offers a well-stocked kiosk
It is not possible to use mobile phones and MobilePay at the venue area due to no mobile coverage/signal.
Please remember cash!
Child care is not offered.
Transportation of overcoat clothing
There is transportation of overcoat clothing from Start 1 and 2. Overcoat clothing is placed next to the toilets at venue area.
Children’s Course
There is a taped children’s course, free of charge, for younger children. Available at the venue area between the hours 09:30 – 14:30. All children completing the course will get a small prize.
Event office
At the venue area from 09:00
Feeding of the cattle in fencing at the venue area is not allowed.
Courses
W21 has a total climb of 280 m and M21 has a total climb of 440 m
Open Free entry Courses
Pre-entry fee for Open Courses:
Junior – 20, DKK 140,-
Senior 21-, DKK 170,-
SI-card hire, DKK 20,-
An additional fee of DKK 10,- is payable for Entry-on-the-Day
Finish is at the venue area.
Maps are collected after the finish and will be handed out after the final runner has started.
Punching System
The competitions will use SportIdent.
Runners using own SI-card must provide the card number at time of entry.
A rental SI-card will be provided at an additional fee DKK 20,- for runners without own SI-card.
Rental SI-cards are given at the start and must be returned at the finish.
Map
Gribskov Mårum and Søskoven 1:7.500; 1:10.000 and 1:15.000
New map from 2019, contour interval 2,5 m.
The map is offset printed and sealed in a plastic bag. The map is checked by a mapping advisor and meet the quality assurance standard. Link to previous map (VMOC 2018)
Due to logging, there are several larger temporary timber piles alongside large forest roads. These are marked with a purple colored line on the map.
There are especially one large and long timber pile where two possible passages are marked on the map.

A special symbol О which is a colored piece of art painted on a broken tree trunk is used on the Map.
Model event
At start 1 it is possible to take a map (self-service) with 4 controls and run a 700-meter course in the terrain. The map is printed in the scales of 1:7.500, 1:10.000 and 1:15.000
Terrain Description Race Area
The terrain consists predominantly of mixed open deciduous forest with lots of pine forest. Runnability is good and there is an extensive trail system.
After a hot and rainy summer, ferns and other undergrowth stand close, but are marked on the map.
Prohibited areas
Running on Gillelejevejen(road) is not allowed. Marked with purple crosses on the map.
Prohibited areas are solely marked on the map and not in the terrain and must of course be respected.
Forced Passages
Gillelejevejen(road) will be passed on many of the courses. The forced passages are manned. The forced passages are marked on the maps. Please follow the signs and instructions from the personnel at the forced passages.
The speed of traffic will be reduced by 50 km/h on the forced passages. There will be warning signs posted for road users but be aware of the forced passages.
On the courses: W10, M10, and Open 6 there has been established a forced passage between two controls. The passage is taped with white colored markings in the forest and shown in the control definitions.
Spectator control and forced crossing of venue area
W18, W20, W21, M18, M20 and M21 has a forced passage of the venue area and a spectator control at the venue area.
Control descriptions
IOF Control descriptions are printed on the front of the map – separate control descriptions are available at start 1 and 2 if the runners use a suitable container

Start
First start at 10:00
There are two starts. Start 2 is passed on the way to Start 1.
Start 1: Follow blue/white taped marking 1100 meter.
Start 2: Follow blue/white taped marking 700 meter
4 minutes before start: Control of the runner: correct SportIdent card, rental cards are handed out, runner records presence by punching a SportIdent unit.
3 minutes before start: It is possible to view a sample map (without courses). Runner may pick a separate control definition if a suitable container is used.
2 minutes before start: It is possible to view a sample map (without courses). Runners in Green-Beginner, White-Easy courses may take their map. Officials can assist at the start.
1 minute before start: The runner locates the box with the appropriate map. The time of start is marked by sound (4 short and 1 long beep), the runner may take the map from the box at the long beep.
Start signal: Runners at Start 1 takes the map and follows a forced passage approx. 100 meters to the starting point, that must be passed. Runners at Start 2 takes the map and start right at the starting point.
Late starters must present themselves to the officials at the start and will be assisted through the start boxes.
There are toilets and water at Start 1 and Start 2. There is transportation of overcoat clothing from Start 1 and Start 2 to the venue area.
Runners of Open Entry Courses can start between 10:00 and 10:30 and have put-and-run, they must punch the START control when leaving start box 4.
Refreshment/water points
In the Class table overview, you will find information about which courses have water points and how many. Water and lemonade are available after the finish.
Bib numbers
All runners must wear a bib number. The bib numbers are available in the start area.
Tracking
Runners selected for carrying a TracTrac unit will be on this list.
TracTrac vests and units are handed out at Start 1 and collected again after finishing.
Finish
Finish is at the venue area.
Runners must punch the control at the finish line and continue to the read-out of the SportIdent card.
Rented SportIdent cards are returned after read-out.
Water and lemonade are available after the finish.
Non-finishing runners must present themselves at the finish to read-out the SportIdent card.
Returning of maps
Maps are collected after the finish and will be handed out after the final runner has started.
Max. time
3 hours for women and 4 hours for men.
Prizes
No. 1 in classes D21 and H21 receives the Danish Sports Federation’s (DIF) championship medal. No. 2 and 3 in the D21 and H21 receive Danish Orienteering Federation (DOF) championship medal in silver and bronze respectively.
No. 1, 2 and 3 in other championship classes receive DOF’s championship medal in gold, silver and bronze respectively.
Medals are awarded to participants who have completed, regardless of the number of registered participants in the individual classes.
Medals are only awarded to persons who, on the day of the event, are members of a club under the union and who are a Danish citizen or on the day of registration are registered with the population register in Denmark.
There will be no prizes for the open classes.
The prize-giving ceremony takes place in the finish area of venue area.
Exemptions
FIF Hillerød Orientering has applied for and has been granted an exemption from DOF’s Rule 2.8 (Forest closure) applicable to members of the event organization.

Protests/complaints
Any complaints / protests must be submitted in writing to the event office, which will contact the Event Manager. The Event Manager conducts a party hearing and announces his decision in writing.
Complaints must be filed as early as possible and no later than 30 minutes after max. time for the last starting in the competition.
Protests against the Event Manager´s decision or against errors in the event must be submitted in writing to the jury chairman.
